The Factories Act, 1948

The Factories (Amendment) Act, 1987
Introduced after the Bhopal Gas Tragedy (1984), this amendment added Chapter IVA to the Factories Act dealing specifically with hazardous processes, safety committees, and enhanced duties of occupiers.
